Mark Prausnitz is co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Micron Biomedical. In this capacity, he guides company programs on microneedle patch development for vaccine delivery with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, CDC, UNICEF and other organizations, as
well as co-development of microneedle patches for drug and vaccine delivery in partnership with a number of different pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Prausnitz is also Regents’ Professor and J. Erskine Love, Jr. Chair of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned a BS degree from Stanford University and PhD degree from MIT, both in chemical engineering. Dr. Prausnitz has published more than 280 journal articles and has co-founded five start-up companies.
